Your country is not supported for VAT numbers

When creating a new vendor which is based in the United Kingdom. If i try to save the details with the VAT Number field, filled in. i get an error.
Your country is not supported for VAT numbers

How do i change this? i can't find anything in the docs or forums.

The VAT numbers are checked by the HikaShop plugin.
HikaMarket do provide the same field which is handle by the HikaShop core.
Thus I do think that you might have a similar issue with customers in UK who gave a VAT number.

Thank you for the explanation. But it hasn't given me a solution.

Which plugin handles The vat field?
Can i disable just that plugin without it effecting anything else.
or how can i have the system not check for UK Vat entries?

The last sentence was an interrogation, so you can perform some tests in order to check and confirm.

Thus I do think that you might have a similar issue with customers in UK who gave a VAT number.

Because if you do have the same issue ; it's something you should report to the HikaShop team ; I can't provide a fix in HikaMarket.
