Hi Hika,

Need your advice on how to setup variant for this particular scenario.

(A) 1st variant is the Materials , we have an option to choose "Canvas","backlit " and vinyl

( 2nd Variant is the Sizes of the materials with different pricing and also depend on the materials ,

e.g for sizes of 12" x12 " Canvas is 100 and backlit is 150

so if i tick the canvas or backlit in the 1st variant , price will be change in the 2nd variant.

(C) 3rd Variant is frame and the price will be different according to the size of 2nd Variant

Total : "the price with option" should sum up the total automatically

Can hikashop do this ?

Hi,

Yes you can do that with HikaShop.
Just create characteristics, then add the characteristics to your product in the product edition page, and manage your variants.
For each variants, you can change the price. And if a size is not available for a material, then a message will appear (no stock, which can be changed).

i have tried it and still have no idea of doing it.

For e.g the 2nd variant is defined the " Size"

(1) 12x12" is 100
(2) 24x24" is 200


The 3rd variant is " Frame "

if we select wood frame , for 12"x12 is 300 and 24x24" is 500

if we select aluminum , for 12x12" is 250 and 24x24 is 400


can it be done automatically ?

I think that you are using an option for the second dropdown, you have to use a variant for that, and it will change the total product price.

Hi,

You have to create characteristics, one with the different frame values, one with the materials values, and one with the size values.
Then create your main object, and in the edition page add the previously created characteristics.
Click on manage variants, and there you can unpublish the not available variants, or edit them to change the price of each of them.

Materials : (1) Canvas ,12x12 inches is 200
(2) Canvas ,24x24 inches is 300

(4) Vinyl ,12x12 inches is 200
(vinnly , 36x36 incehs is 600



Frame : Wood for 12x12 is 50
Wood for 24x24 =100
Wood for 36x36=150
Acrylic for 12"x12" is 100
Acrylic for 24"x24" is 200
Acrylic for 36"x36: is 500

so from the drop down menu,

if we select materials: "canvas".
and select size of the materials 12x12 =200
and select the wood frame.


The total of the amount for these three combination would be 250

can we do this ?

Sure,
As Xavier said, You'll just have to :
- Go to you product page
- Use the "Manage variants" button
- Change the price/picture of all the variants combination

And then for each combination you'll have a different price.
