Hi Jerome,

I have the same problem that Batas had. Would it be possible to have the patch files somewhere in this site or could you send me the files?

Batas wrote: Hi Jerome,

it seems that the club of "Forbidden" grows up gradually...
I just want to say that I have exactly the same problem - it comes up with the message "You don't have permission to access /administrator/index.php on this server" after I'm trying to save configuration.

Joomla 2.5.7 + Hikashop Essential (switched over from VirtueMart...)
host provider - the same as MichaelBentsen www.domainnameshop.com/faq.cgi?id=257&se...ion=a6b9acb5f536e0cd

I've tried to solve this the way Jerome said (well, I think so), but no result.
Actually I've got familiar with HTML coding just 3 weeks ago, when I decided to launch my site on my own, so up til now it went quite well with the help of this forum. But now I give up...

Jerome, can I send my credentials to you in order you sort out all this thing?
Thank you!

Just remove the code:
enctype="multipart/form-data"

in the file "form" of the view "config" via the menu Display->Views for your backend template and it will work.

hi, I have the same problem, my hosting company is Rochen and when i try to modify the emails in config:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /administrator/index.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache Server at www.scriptieklasje.nl Port 80

I removed from email -form in views what you suggested, to no avail. What must I do now? It is not clear to me what to ask my hosting provider to do `to make changes`
thank you

Hi,

The instruction I gave in my previous post is for when you can't save the configuration of HikaShop and not for the edition form of emails.

For the email edition screen, you should edit the file "form" of the view "email" in the same way.

If that still doesn't solve the problem, you should ask your hosting provider to look at the mod_security error logs where the exact information on the error should be written.

Hi Nicolas,

Thank you for your reply. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I've tried to remove enctype="multipart/form-data" from the file called 'form' in 'config' under 'view' in the menu of Display > View for my them of back end.

There is no file called 'form' in 'config'.. I have attached the screen capture. I tried remove enctype="multipart/form-data" from the 'config' file in 'config' under 'view' for my theme of back end. I still get an error of

Forbidden

Should I ask to my hosting company for mod_security logs?

Hi,

Are you sure that the template you use in the backend is "surfcostsailcompany" ?
I think you are using "bluestork".

And right, there is no file "form" for config, "form" is for the view email.
Please edit "config | config" (like explain in the beginning of this thread).

I thought I posted the solution for me, but can't find it here. My hoster Rochen changed something in the https settings and that solved it, thank you!
