Vendor user group - remove from registered group

Hi,
I want to display a set of menus items for users, and another set for vendors.

I have used the Vendor User Group plugin successfully with Joomla ACL to display the vendor menu items

however the new vendor user group (joomla) is also in addition to the registered group, and therefore the users menu items also show in the menu.

Ideally I would like to remove a user from the registered group and place them in the new vendor group. Is this possible?

Alternatively open for suggestions!

Hi,
I have vendor Automatic validation set up so someone can register to become only a user first, then the can apply to become a vendor (if the wish) afterwards.

I created the vendor group in Joomla user groups and assigned it to "special" permissions. In the vendor user group in hikamarket I set the vendors to be dropped into the Vendor user group (in Joomla).

I can then set menu items to appear for the Special access level

only problem is vendors are also members of the Registered access level, so the menu items for Registered also show.

I want a way to display a different set of menus for users & vendors basically.

for example a menu of "become a vendor" available to a user, would still be available to a vendor, and I naturally dont want this

just an addition to this:

is it possible to remove the need to logout & log back in when a user registers to become a vendor?

is this handled hikamarket or Joomla at this stage?

happy to have the activation process when the public becomes a user...
