How to change / add option in Customer Account and

Can You please help with the following issue.
How to change / add option in Customer Account and Vendor account screens?

For Vendor Account Screen I am trying to remove buttons for:
- discount
- shipping
- characteristics
- categories


For Customer Account Screen I would like to remove buttons for:
- Access to affiliate program
But I would like to add access to "Customer Download Space"

Perfect - Thank You very much. It worked.
Now just the last question about the user download area - I would like to somehow add it to Customer Account Screen options?
I was thinking about displaying it in some module position but it would be much nicer in the Customer Account Screen - is there such an option?
