-- HikaMarket version -- : HikaMarket Multivendor: 1.7.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.5.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.23-1~dotdeb+7.1
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 47.0

I have not been able to find any information on how to use this plugin and module. I have created a vendor custom field with the column name accepted_cities. This custom field is setup as a check box field so that vendors can select multiple areas.

I then published the plugin HikaMarket Vendor User Location Filter. I set filter mode to city.
Vendor City field is set to accepted_cities.

I have created two test vendors and each vendor has selected a few cities. The location filter works in that I can do a text search by location but there is no way for a client to select from a list of areas via a check box or select list.

Where can I find more information on how to work with this function? I can not get it working after trying everything that I can think of.

Hi,

If you are using the "HikaMarket Location Search module" for the search ; that module use a view that you can override.
By default the view display a simple input text ; but you can see to display a dropdown instead.

If you want to make it dynamic, the idea is to load the custom field in the database and extract the different values (from "field_values").

Thank you for your help Jerome I will see what I can do with that module. Do you know if it is possible to have a different URL for each location. Right now, from the location search module, the URL does not change based on the location needed. Using unique URLs for each location would make a lot of sense for SEO etc.

Hi,

The module submit an input which is stored afterward in the session.
But you can provide the search directly in the URL too :

location_search=CityName
