vendor registration fields

1. how can i add place holders to the vendor registration fields
2. what is the purpose of the contact email? will the user email and the contact email receive an inquiries or system notification?

i cant find these fields in the custom fields area

vendor name, terms and condition and description.

where can i find this please?
