Issue with footer being turned off

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1
-- PHP version -- : 5

I have disabled the footer display in the hika shop display configuration but i am still left with "-->" at the bottom of my template outside of the hika shop component position

Please advise on how to remove this.
