Hi,

When updating to PHP7 I just got a message about an "Encoding error" in both backend as frontend and found this error message in the errorlog in my www folder :

PHP Deprecated: Methods with the same name as their class will not be constructors in a future version of PHP; plgSystemHikashopgeolocation has a deprecated constructor in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/plugins/system/hikashopgeolocation/hikashopgeolocation.php on line 11

After disabling the plugin HikaShop geolocation plugin the error goes away.

Strange thing is that I have the same plugin enabled on other sites with no problems...

Hope this helps.

Hi,

You actually want to turn off the "error reporting" setting of the Joomla configuration. That way, you can still use the geolocation plugin (if you're using it) without these messages, which are actually not real errors and directed toward developers.
