Mini Cart Issue with Product Discount

I offer discounts on my site for products that will discount automatically when a product is added to cart. However, when a customer adds the item to the cart, the mini cart shows total of item without the discount. Customer has to go to checkout to see if discount coupon was automatically applied. This has been a constant complaint from our customers. Is there a way to completely turn off the mini cart to avoid this issue, or is there a way that the mini cart can show the total with discount so that our customer knows they are receiving a discount without having to checkout to view? Please advise.

Hi there,

I guess you are talking about a coupon since discounts are already applied to the product price.
If you indeed have a preloaded coupon, it's not displayed. You can though change this by editing the view cart of product (in Display>Views) and add some code to load the coupons and apply it. It's not simple though and will require some php skills.
If you want to hide this mini cart, just go in Display>content module and unpublish the cart module.

Thank you so much for the help. I just removed the mini cart since I don't have any php skills . I'm currently looking for someone who can help me with one other issue. I need to know how to rename the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop. I'm having a problem when an Int'l customer tries to place an order and at checkout enters the shipping option, when the customer goes to next page of checkout their shipping selection is deleted and it states no shipping method found. Nicolas suggested that I may need to rename the folder templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html/com_hikashop. My programmer does not know how to do it, so I've been trying to figure it out. Is it possible to get a step by step on where to find this folder and a how to rename folder without messing anything up? To do that you won't need any development skills, you'll just have to go to the folder "templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/html", and then rename the "com_hikashop" folder by "com_hikashop_1" for example.
