No shipping method in checkout right at start

When a new customer goes to checkout to buy a product the first thing they see is an error message



this is the error message which i dont think should display so soon.


i am assuming this is because there is no address yet, that is because the customer is brand new and hasn't even registered yet. Could you please delay this error message somehow so it only shows after a user has registered?

You get that error because you didn't configure the "main zone" in your configuration. Make sure that it's set to one of the zones of your shipping methods and it will display the shipping methods and not that error.

I do have the Main Tax Zone set in the config setting.



My two shipping plugins are here:

Manual shipping plugin which ships to all of Australia


Australia Post plugin to ship worldwide but not to Australia


Is this then a bug?

No.

It's because you set post code restrictions to your first shipping method. Because of that, that shipping method is discarded as the user doesn't have yet a post code.
Or it could also be that the products in the cart weight is over 10kg.
