Category listing empty

I'm still evaluating hikashop as a possible shopping cart solution but have run into a problem. If I go into the list of categories and select one, it does not display any products:

www.benchmarkbuildingsupplies.co.uk/newsite/index.php/products

The categories are definitely not empty and products are displayed without problems here:

Any ideas why this is?

Hi,

I think that the solution would be to :
- Go to "Hikashop->Display->Content menus"
- Edit your category listing
- Set the "Sub elements filter" option to All sub elements

Hope this will solve your problem.

In content menus I have the following:

Brands listing
Products listing
Categories listing
Products

On each I've set "Sub elements filter" to "All sub elements" but no luck.

Here's an example of what i've got on my home page (site is: www.uk-leds.com if you want to see it as an example)
(sorry images aren't working, so just click on the links to view)
Here's the menu:

Here's the products module (the "Click here to access the display options of the products listing (Products)" :

This setup is for displaying the Categories + the products underneath (as shown on the home page of my site)

I'm not an expert at this, if i post on your thread i'm doing so with the best of my knowledge and just trying to help :)

And aren't all your products showing through the 2 products pages ?

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this? The products display when selected from the bar on the left but not when the category on the main body of the page is clicked. If you are referring to only one product in each category then that is simply a test at the moment which is why not more are listed.

Hi,

Edit your menu "Products", in the HikaShop options click on the Associated module, then in the associated module see if there is a menu selected (you should have "categories listing"), and if this module is set to display products.

Hi,

To find the good associated module, you have to edit the menu products. (HikaShop > Display > Content MENU), then in the menu options click on the associated module (bottom left of the page).
And in the module options, set a menu on it.

Now you go in "Products", then you should see a link "Click here to access the display options of the products listing (Associated products listing for category listing menu xxx)".
If you don't have the link, so click to generate automatically an associated module at the top of the page.

Then when you have clicked on the link "Click here to access the display options of the products listing (Associated products listing for category listing menu xxx)", here you can apply the changes for the products listing.

Thanks I've got that working now, however is there a way to get rid of the list of all products and only have the categories showing?

You don't want to display the products of the categories ? So you must remove the associated module of the product menu.

I think that I don't really understood what you are looking for.
