Is possible product reservation?

I'm planning a new site for Serial numbered collector products.

Those products will be available in the shop before they are in stock. Each product in a series is unique as it has a unique production number.
For example a collector Miniature Car Mercedes Benz (MCMB) would have 1.000 units each one with a different number, so there will be 1.000 products inside a category named Mercedes Benz. The process of creating category and importing a list of 1.000 products form a CSV is no matter to me.

I need these features for the shop and I don't know if HikaShop is providing them:

Client can make a "reservation" for a product, this is clicking on the product and changing status to "reserved" so no other client can buy nor view it but client has that product in view when he enters registered, at least in the cart.

Soon before product is in stock administrator should be able to send automated email to all reservators for that Category of product so they can enter their account and buy their reserved product.

Adminsitrator can resend an email some weeks later only to those client who haven't made the purchase yet.

At a given point in time administrator should be able to remove the reservation status for the non purchased products so they automatically are available in stock for other buyers.

Each client should be able to hold several products in "reservation mode" until they are in stock and meanwhile be able to buy other products through the cart that are already in stock.

Hi,

There is not such reservation system in HikaShop. It would require a big custom plugin project to add that but not impossible as far as I can see.

And can a single product be assigned to a single registered user?

So me as a client could request a reservation and then an Administrator would change the ACL for that product to be only viewabl to the Administrator and to me (the reservating user)

If you have one user group per user then yes, but it's a bit cumbersome to manage...

yeah... Isee... this is tough!

Would be easy to create a custom field to store a user_id and then only allow hikashop to view that article only when the session user_id fits that aticle (in the case the article has an assigned user_id) ?

I would appreciate either inspiration on how to achieve this or a quotation to develop this feature.

The interface process would be very simple.

User A navigates through shop articles. -> When he likes a product clicks on a button that stores his joomla_registered_user_id to the product custom field for reservation.-> From now on only this user can view/buy the product until the administrator resets the custom field.

I'm not a coder but it seems to me that this feature would be not so complex, don't you think?

Yes, that should not be too complex. We should be able to develop that for you for a small fee.
Please provide more information (like the way you configure your products, with variants, or not, options ? do you want to be able to set the user_id per variant or not in such case ?) via our contact form with a reference to this thread so that we can give you a definite cost for that customization.
