confirmation email adaptation

Hi,

-Would it be possible to add an additional address field, created under 'own fields', in the order confirmation email? I created a new field called number, this should be put after the address field address_street. How?
-Would it be possible to add also a characteristic value in the order confirmation email? There are some characteristics which can be chosen when an order is placed. I would like to add them in the confirmation email. How?
