I would like to know how the shipping package sizes are calculated in hikashop for Australia post? (because it's offering multiple boxes when 20 quite small items are selected.)

What do you exactly mean by "it's offering multiple boxes when 20 quite small items are selected" ?
If you want to know how package sizes are calculated for Australia post, note that it will depends on the way you have set the "Group products together", if you have set it to :
- YES, The Australia post plugin will try to add the maximum number of product per package without exceeding Australia Post package limits.
- NO, The Australia post plugin will only add 1 product per package.
