-- HikaShop version -- : 2.5.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.3
-- PHP version -- : 2.6.32-531.29.2
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

When I click on proceed to checkout in the cart it sometimes returns the following url www.mysite.school.nz/community/shop/product/listing and not www.mysite.school.nz/community/shop/checkout .. I am battling to see a pattern as to when and why it happens.

Ok since posting this it seems to do it all the time now.

Create a (hidden?) Joomla menu item for Checkout, then select this in the HikaShop configuration under "Force a menu on the checkout": www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...ml#checkout_checkout

Ok that sort of works i.e. I have a module that is only on my shopping page. When I use your suggested method, this module disappears and another one appears instead i.e. it messes up when some of my modules appear. e.g. go to www.rosmini.school.nz/community/shop , add an item and then click on checkout. You will see that the shopping cart disappears and "latest news" appears instead. Now as far as functionality goes this works, but for the sake of neatness I don't want that to happen.

That's standard Joomla procedure:
You are in control of which modules appear on which page (= menu item): Go to the Joomla Module Manager, open the modules in question (e.g. "Latest News"), and click the "Assignments" tab to select or deselect the menu items.

In this case and from your most recent post I take it that you want to deselect the menu item "Checkout" for the "Latest News" module.

Hint - before you ask ;) :
Now your URL to Checkout is www.rosmini.school.nz/community/shop/checkout/checkout
To remove one of this double-mention, empty the field "Checkout SEF name" in the HikaShop configuration: www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...ig.html#features_sef (pic outdated, but text ok)
