-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4

Hi Guys,

I need some help, clients site - when mod rewrite is enabled and I add to cart - I just get sent to the checkout (as per force a menu on checkout) But it used to have a modal with the 2 buttons continue shopping and proceed to checkout.

We've updated the Hika version to latest - to no avail tried variations on Jquery Easy / Popup using either Bootstrap or mootools also no success... Finally discover the issue is with mod-rewrite enabled.... If I turn it off the popup displays.

But I need mod-rewrite enabled. We have a few product feeds etc that need the clean urls.

Please help :)

Hi,

So it looks like it could be a SEF issue.
I suppose that if you turn off the SEF on your website, even with mod_rewrite on, it works fine right ? In that case, you want to change the SEF settings of the HikaShop configuration and/or of your SEF extension if you're using one.

Otherwise, it could also come from your htaccess. Try to sue the default htaccess of Joomla if you customized it.

Hi Nic,

Thank you for helping work this one out. It's true, if I disable the SEF plugin - theres no problem. If it enable that again and then just use the standard Joomla! HTACCESS - the non-working lightbox issue is back...

The strange thing is that it was working before, but now it isnt. So I don't think its a major issue - but I do need help with it because I cannot figure it out on my own. I've tried uploading the latest version of Hika, tried settings for bootstrap/ mootools etc... But nothing I'm doing is working. I dont want to change the SEF side of things as we have a few feeds/ that are using those urls to pull our products onto other sites.

There surely must be another way around that deals more specifically with the JS problem?

Tx

Hi,

Well, you can always modify the administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/cart.php javascript code to force the URLs, but I don't know what would be the solution.
Are you talking about the system SEF plugin ?
That plugin is only there to dynamically replace non SEF URLs with SEF URLs on your pages but is not really necessary, so I don't see why it would be a problem deactivating it ?

Hi Nic,

The SEF for the site in general under plugins. When I disable it - any page I visit goes from a nice xyz.com/niceurl.html to a whole load of id?135165 type of thing...

Is that the wrong one to disable?

The Javascript in cart.php - will editing that allow the modal to display properly? Could I force a different modal there?

Hi,

I'm sorry. I had mistaken the SEF plugin with another one. Yes, you can't disable it if you want to keep nice URLs.
So, how did you configure the sef settings of the HikaShop configuration ? Did you change something there ? Could you do a screenshot ?
Could it come from your Joomla template perhaps ? Could you try switching to the default joomla template temporarily to see if that's the case ?

Yes, you can use another modal in that cart.php file, as long as you adapt the code to it.

Issue resolved it was that damned Ajax Popup button not enabled in the config - deceptively simple solution...
