Two versions of cart have different contents

Still fiddling with Hika shop.
Yesterday I had cart module appearing above left hand menu as only location where I could see it. Had no cart tab on main (upper) menu bar.
Today I managed to create a cart tab in main menu and its type is article. This tab should display the cart's current contents. I made an article called Ýour cart' and its category type is shopping cart. Under the content tab of this article I inserted the Hikashop Cart Module. The positioning will have to be fixed later.
My aim was to have the cart contents in the middle of the page so that eventually I could remove the version above the left menu. I would have the cart appearing in 2 locations. I was expecting that I would not have the carts appearing exactly the same due to size constraints but the left menu version being different to the centre version was unexpected. Incidentally the left hand version is the correct version.

Attached is a screenshot showing the 2 differing versions.
The Hikashop cart module is itself set up with its position as left (it might be important).

I am at a loss to explain the difference let alone fix it.
Any advice gratefully accepted.

Hi,

Our current Ajax system when adding a product to the cart doesn't manage many carts.
This will be possible in HikaShop 3.0.0, for now, please disable the option "Use AJAX when possible for add to cart buttons" in Configuration > Main > Advanced settings.

If you have any cache enabled, please remove it as it is not compatible with an ecommerce system.

I fear that I was not clear enough in my description.

What I meant to say was that I have the same cart appearing in those 2 locations on the site but the contents were different. I am still learning about Hika Shop and Joomla and was trying to test out placing modules etc.

I was expecting to see the same cart contents is those locations but the visual representation might be different due to the size constraints on the left hand menu.
