Here's my issue. I don't want emails processing before checkout is completed. It slows down checkout considerably.

I know how to unpublish the emails. My issue is that I use 2 payment processors, PayPal and Authorize.net. When I turn off the Order Creation email, it works as expected for PayPal and I only get the confirmed message. However, with Authorize I don't get any emails from the system at all, which is a problem.

How can I fix this?

Nicolas,

I did test the code you referenced in the other thread, however, it does not suppress the creation email for PayPal, it just sends an empty email instead.

Is there any other solution for this?

On another note, I appreciate all the help you guys provide your users. I know it can be time consuming and occasionally frustrating, but you guys do an awesome job!

Hi,

I think that your email is not really empty but it should contain blank content (spaces or tabulations).
That kind of issue is already fixed in the latest HikaShop 2.6.0 package and will be include in the next HikaShop release (2.6.1).

Jerome,

I'm afraid you've misunderstood. I don't want the order creation email at all for PayPal and I cannot just turn it off because it is needed for Authorize.net. Using code from the post referenced by Nicolas results in receiving an empty order creation email for PayPal, but the Authorize.net comes through fine.

Hi,

Jerome didn't misunderstand. What you're describing indicates that the there are some blank characters in your email before the check on the payment method.
Make sure that you add the code I gave in the other thread at the beginning of the HTML version, without anything before.
Otherwise, the content of the email won't be completely empty and the email will be sent.
Also, the modification Jerome gave you adds some code so that blank characters aren't taken into account anymore and thus that should also help fix the problem with the empty email.
