Hello,

From what I can see, I agree with you there isn't enough difference that can leads to this kind of trouble... The most relevant is to contact your server with this 2 screenshots.

Sorry for this answer.

Hello,

I contact support at Media Temple and they could not offer anything other than enabling PHP error logging. I have done testing and nothing is coming up in the error log when I press the edit or new links. This extremely frustrating. What other files are involved with these links? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I have done some further testing and this is what I have found. The "edit" link does not load the form. It only reloads the same page with no edit form. This occurs with or without template overrides in place or using the protostar template. The "remove" link works with no issues. It displays the window prompt and when "Ok" is pressed, the existing address is removed. The "new" link is broken when there is an existing address. If I remove the existing address, then use the "new" link, the form loads and allows me to add a new address and save it.

Hello,

Another issue has just started. Whenever I login using my account on various browsers to checkout, the new billing address form loads. When I click the "save" link, the same page reloads, but no errors are displayed indicating empty fields. This is starting to become very frustrating. I have updated to HikaShop 2.6.2 business. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

The thing is that all this works fine for us and for everyone else. Many files are involved in the checkout, from HikaShop and from Joomla. But as you can see on your localhost, it works just fine so it doesn't come from a file of HikaShop or Joomla, or it wouldn't work on your localhost nor for everyone else.
So there must be a problem with a setting of your webserver or a module which creates that problem.
Thus, updating HikaShop won't help.
The simplest would be to use another hosting if your hosting company can't help pin point the problem.

Hello,

I have spoken with the hosting company and they have been unable to offer any assistance. We turned on the error logs, but nothing is showing up in the PHP or server logs. I understand the issue may be related to the server, but I still think there is an issue with HikaShop as well. I say this because the "New" link works if you remove the existing address first, then add a new one. Any ideas on why it would work this way? Thanks.

Hello,

I have continued to work on this issue and it seems be an issue with this code:

hikashop_completeLink($update_url, true);
on the server where the website is hosted. When I change true to false or remove the boolean completely, the tmpl-component code does not fire and the form wrapped in the full website template is displayed below the Billing Address section. Where is the hikashop_completeLink found in the code. I have done a search on all of the files and I cannot seem to find where it is defined.

Hello,

This function can be the roots of your issue because she was coded since the beginning of HikaShop (2013) and never change AND nobody have this kind of issue, plus we are okey that your localhost works with the same code, right?
Plus, the description you have made when you speak about url link remove, evokes me a plugin process.

From that, I can only tell you is this two points :

-To be sure of your server isn't leads this, you must test your site on another server.
- Are you sure to have switch off one by one plugins and each time process some test to see if it solve your issue ?

Sorry for this return.

Hello,

I have tested the website on MAMP and the issue does not exist there, so I know my server at Media Temple is some how involved, but this issue only affects the edit and new links on this one step in the checkout and the new link works when the existing address is removed. This issue does not exist anywhere else in HikaShop or Joomla, so it seems odd that a hosting service like Media Temple would have issues with just two small pieces of code, but produce no errors, either PHP or server related. Can you provide me the file that has the completeLink function so I can review it and possibly pass this information to Media Temple support. Thank you.

I tried disabling plugins, but this did not provide a solution. I disabled each one individually and tested the links.

Hello,

Okey, you will find this function here : yourWebSite\administrator\components\com_hikashop\helpers\helper.php and around line 919.

Awaiting news from you, if we can improve our code.
