-- HikaShop version -- : 4.4.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.10.3
-- PHP version -- : 7.4.26

I'm tryin to customize the login flow from the all-in-onze to a step process. Login & registration displayy is set to "Changer". Standard registration view: login, Registration: Registration & guest ticked. Current config is as follows.

Step 1: Login > Address < New display
Step 2: Shipment > status > fields > new display
Step 3: Payment > Discount > new display
Step 4; Cart > new display
Step 5: End

The problem starts at step 1. The login form is displayed but it doesn't do anything. The problem is because the checkbox to agree with the privacy policy (due to integration with JextensionStore's GDPR. Doesn't get displayed. Once has to go to the registration tab tick that checkbox, then go back to the login tab and login works. But then when the address is displayed the privacy checkbox is UNTICKED, has to be ticked again, and shows on all subsequent steps. If one changes shipping method the GDPR privacy agreement checkbox vanishes and checkout cannot proceed.

Hikashop also seems to apply VAT to the shipping costs specified in the backend, despite the percentage being set to 0. How can i fix this without having to calculate shipping cost prior to VAT being added?

Hi,

From what I understand that GDPR checkbox is added to the registration form by another extension. And it's that checkbox which blocks the submission of the form when the login is performed.
I'm afraid we won't be able to do anything to fix this as this is likely something to be changed in that other extension to take into account the situation on that form.
I would recommend you contact the developer of that extension to notify them of the problem.

Note that HikaShop already integrates with Joomla's privacy mechanism and you can just enable and configure the "System - Privacy Consent" plugin to have a similar checkbox added automatically to both Joomla's and HikaShop's registration forms.

If you don't want VAT to be charged on shipping fees, edit your shipping methods in System>Shipping methods and make sure that the "automatic taxes" setting is turned off, and that the "tax category" setting below is set to "no".

i thought as much but i wasn't sure :) I'll contact JextensionsStore then regarding that issue. I can always go back to single-page design if need be.

I know HikaShop already integrates with the default joomla privacy suite but it's incomplete in regards to the GDPR. No cookie notification, no cookie blocking, no required logging, no DPO capabilities...
