I've done it for you.

You had around 35 000 variants for your products. And you set a max filter of 50000 so that it deletes them all at once. However, you reach the memory limit if you do that, like you would when you delete the product via the interface.
Instead of that, I changed the max filter of your mass action to 3000 and run the mass action 12 times and it removed all the variants of the product. Then I could simply delete the main product via the products listing delete button.

How did you do that? I had tried many settings, the default was start 0 & value 500 but after processing and selecting the same filter again, the affected rows never changed. The 36333 rows should have become 35833 rows then..

With the default of START=0 and VALUE=500 nothing changed when i processed, you saw the action i saved, i see you edited it to 3000. The rest of the settings where similar from what i had or not?

I did try the value at 50000 one time, at wich point i did get a fatal error..

What did you do to execute the action ? No trigger, and simply clicking process in the mass actions menu bar on top ?

If 3000 fits in memory, why not the default 500.. it should have affected the amount of rows each time i executed the action and i tried it about 20 times.. it says the action will be processed then it reload without error, i select the same filter and poof 36333 rows affected again, so none where deleted.

I guess i'll just continue to add products and if it happens again i'll try this mass action like you saved.. at least i know it can be fixed from the back-end and thats a relief..

I feel more secure about moving on now :)

In the meantime i took a look at virtuemart, and i like the feel of hikashop better, i just hope its sturdy enough for someone like me behind the steering wheel :)

Still got an issue with product options in unpublished category still being listed as seperate products on the site but there's another thread about that.

Thank you very much for your time,
~Trail.

Yes, I didn't change the settings besides the value and just pressed on "process".
I used 3000 instead of 500 because it would have taken too much time and that 3000 is still a reasonable amount to process at once.
I actually had the number of affected rows to decrease after clicking on "process".
I didn't do anything special. It should have been the same with 500.
