Change published date

I do not see a place in the product page to change the 'Published Date'. Is there a way to add that field so it can be changed?

Ah..I checked the table and the 'published' field was simply enabled or disabled. So to ensure that the most recent product is displayed first, I have set 'product_id' and 'descending' as the settings in the module. But just to be sure, when a new product is added, will the 'product_id' always be a higher number, ie: incremented, meaning no previous unused number is reused?
