I've created several new products but I want to see how they will look on the site and correct any errors before they are on the live site. How do I test or preview a product before I push it live?

Hello,

You can restrict their displaying to a "Super User" group using access levels through your product configuration page so that you'll be the only one who can see it.

Thanks Mohamed, but I don't see anywhere to change access levels on the product configuration page. I have HikaShop Essentials. Is that a feature only on HikaShop Business?

Hello,

Yes it's a feature available through Hikashop Business edition.

So there is no way to test products before you launch them to a live site, even on the paid Essentials version? It seems hard to believe that for the large number of people who uses HikaShop, that no one has come up with another way to test items before launching them. This seems like a huge design flaw not to be able to preview.

Hi,

Then move them to an unpublished category. Take the URL of another product and change the id in it to the one of the product you want to test and you'll be able to see the product page of that product.
For example, on your website, you take the URL:
/products/product/canna-oil.html
The id of lip balm is 3.
So if you access the URL:
/products/product/3-canna-oil.html
You'll see the lip balm product page even if the product is not in a category that is published.
