Yes of course. In the hikashop options of your menu, you will find the "associated category" option where you can change that.

Hi... what I did was set up my catgories and products. Then I made a menu and associated it with that category module. What I wanted to do is then set up separate list of categories and products and attach it to another menu. I thought I had set up a new categories list under the product categories folder... and added categories and products to this but when I associated that module with a new menu it also brought up the categories from the first menu on the front end and also showed the two lots of categories on my first menu.

eg.
Menu 1
categories
Cars
products
blue
red

Menu 2
categoires
Dolls
products
large
small

Both category lists show on both menus.

Can you see where I am going wrong with this please?

Many thanks

Could you give screenshots of your modules and menus' hikashop options and give a link to the page so that we can see what you did ?

Could you give screenshots of your modules and menus' hikashop options ? They can be accessed via the menus Display>Content menus/modules.

Thanks, we're moving forward.

Could you also give screenshots of your modules' hikashop options ? They can be accessed via the link you see in your menus' hikashop options in the "associated modules" option.

So if you want to display different categories on different menus, you need to select the parent category corresponding to one group of categories in the "associated category" option of each menu.

That means that you need to have a multi levels category tree, instead of a one level category tree like you did. Otherwise, you can't have one main category parent of each group of categories.

I mean to create categories below the main "product category" category and then sub categories below these categories.
You can see the "parent category" option (or "associated category" in some versions of HikaShop) when you edit your categories in order to define the parent category of the current category and thus allowing you to create a multi level categories tree:

Thank you for sending that example.... what I can't work out is how and where I add the sub categories... e.g. node 2.1 - node 2.11 etc. I can only see the option to add products to categories

Go in the menu Products->Categories in HikaShop. There, you can manage categories.
The menu Products is only to manage products.

Thanks very much for your help. I have worked out how to make the category tree now...... on my main category page though I get links to the sub categories that just run into each other - with no spaces between or formatting. Is there a way to format these links ... or to stop them showing at all so that they are only seen when the main category is clicked on?

Screenshot of the module in the front end attached.

Can you also tell me how it would be possible to just add the separate categories to separate menus.

Thanks again

You didn't attach the screenshot.

In the hikashop options of each menu item, you have the option "associated category" where you can select the category you want for that menu item.
