Need something simple

The chess club I belong to has a library of chess books, videos, etc. I could not find what I thought to be a decent free library component so I thought I'd check out the shopping cart options since checking out a book is similar, only you don't pay for it.

I came across hikashop from reading a review and wanted to ask if you thought it would be a simple enough component to set up library books for check out. Basically, I would want a list of books/videos a user bought (checked out from the library) sent to an email address where those books could be gathered for the user. This will all be local stuff as we won't be shipping anything.

I'm just looking for a way to manage the library books and checkouts without having to create my own forms, database etc.

What do you thing? Any potential here?
