Order confirmation email

Hello,
I have had everything configured properly and working well, then I made some small changes like moving the billing address under the shipping. I now get an order creation email from a paypal orders but not for paypal pro orders. I did not touch the payment method plugin so I know it is still configured properly. I have tried resetting everything I remember tweaking but now I can't get the confirmation emails from paypal pro only.

I also get this information on the order history field if that might help you.

Hi,

Maybe you disabled some of the emails via the menu System->Emails ? Or it comes from a modification you made in one of them ?

Well, here is what I have tried. I hope you might have a suggestion, I am pretty frustrated with it. Again it is only for PayPal Pro. My customers and I get the emails just fine from PayPal.

I deleted all modifications under system emails, deleted all modifications to any views I had made in my template(yes, I am sure I am in the correct template), switched the hikashop to default css, switched my joomla template to a different template, and changed the checkout workflow back to the default. I have triple checked PayPal Pro settings, even though nothing was changed in between the time it worked and when it did not. Placed an order and still the same. :sick:

Could you provide a screenshot of your email listing ?
In order to see which emails are published and which are not.

So sorry to be such a bother. I really do love your component and am very happy aIpurchased the business edition. I am just trying to get these last few snags I have not been able to overcome.

I also get this second window when I select the edit icon on the checkout process.

Hi,

Can you do a screenshot of the email that you receive normally with PayPal and that you don't receive with PayPal Pro, just to make sure that we're talking about the same one ?

The two views one on top of the other comes from an issue in your template I think. I already saw that once on another website. If you can get a link to the shop, we can have a look but to confirm that, you should try to switch your joomla template temporarily to the default one and see if you still have the problem or not.

I have included a screen shot of the "order created" email. Here is a link to a product in our shop prm-atv.com . I am going to pm our login in to you so you can take a look.

I switched templates an you are correct, it does look like a template issue on the address edit field. Do you have a solution to that from the other site, or should I contact the template administrator (Joomlashine).

Hi,

I remember that I had told to contact the template provider as that was not an issue in HikaShop and that I didn't know how his template was made. So I don't have a solution for you for the popup issue.

For the PayPal Pro notifications, can you try to change the line:
$order->history->history_notified = 0;

to:
$order->history->history_notified = 1;

in the file plugins/hikashoppayment/paypalpro/paypalpro.php ?

Okay, I think I have it! I am not sure why, but I know what is causing it. The Google Analytics Plugin, once activated will not allow the email through PayPal Pro. I have disabled it until we can figure out why. Any suggestions as to how to fix this?

Hi,

I really don't think that it is related to that plugin. The PayPal Pro and the Google Analytics plugins are not related.

Did you try the modification I proposed ? I think that it should help.

I've added a new option to the PayPal Pro plugin to select whether or not to send the order creation notification email.

Hello,
I did the modification before I started really getting frustrated trying to figure all what I had done on the day it quit working. It did not change anything. After looking at my ecommerce analytics stats I noticed it starts on the same day I started having issues. I don't know how they are related, or affecting each other, but the emails work fine once I deactivated it. I would like to have the information available, but it is more important to have the emails working so I will have to leave it for now.
