we currently have a website that has 3 levels of prices for different users. such as a distributor of our products has one price, a seller has another, and the general public has the highest price. something has been changed in our settings and now it's showing the lowest price [distributor price bracket] to ALL USERS for ALL PRODUCTS!!!

I have tried going through the settings but can't seem to figure what has been changed or what i need to fix to correct this issue.

Does anyone have an idea what I can try? I have run out of ideas or places to check. Many thanks

It sounds like either the access levels of your product prices were changed or that the user groups themselves were changed.
You should check these two points.

I've gone into all of the option and settings menu that I can find for both of those sections and can't seem to find anything that will help. is there any general menu somewhere, like a "site menu" that relates to the entire site and all it's functionality?

As I said, if you changed the user groups on your website, it could affect the prices access levels. I would recommend you check your user groups via the joomla user group manager.

My apologies for my ignorance, but I have no idea what that means. lol

I've already gone through the "user" menus and "user groups" that I can find

[eg
users/groups
user/access levels
etc...]

not sure where else to check. =/

I'm sorry but I can't give more precision on what to check as I don't know how you had setup your website.

I could have a look if you could provide an example of what is not correct and a backend access to check your settings.
