Hi,

Do not understand why in the breadcrumbs module

1) never appear the category name
2) the main entry (catalog) is clickable only with authenticated access
3) the name of the product is visible only with authenticated access

look in the attached images do you see with user authenticated or unauthenticated

how can I fix it?
Thanks

Fabio

Hi,

1) Do you have a product listing which display all product with sub categories ?
In this case, we can't display a complete breadcrumb because the product is listed in the "root" too and that's the first "place" where the algorithm found the product.

2) It's a cache problem

3) It's a cache problem

Hi,
Ok for steps 2 and 3

As regards the first point.

Our structure is as follows.

As you can see, the products should show a sub-category on breadcrumbs

root ( www.insegnalo.it/catalogo-corsi-online/ )
|
- Cat 1 ( www.insegnalo.it/catalogo-corsi-online/c...earning-e-formazione ) | - Product
|
- Cat 2 | - Product
|
- Cat 3 | - Product
|
- Cat 4 | - Product

Fabio

Hi,

If you turn off the "simplified breacrumb" option of the configuration, you should get the breadcrumb like you want.

Hi,

The product listing attached to your category listing display all products including products from sub categories.
When HikaShop wants to generates the breadcrumb, it would found the product at the "root" ( www.insegnalo.it/catalogo-corsi-online/ ) because, the product listing which should be displayed here would contains the selected products (because it displayed all products...).

That's why the breadcrumbs seems wrong but, it is not.

Hi Jerome

sorry but I do not understand!

I do not have any products on the root

My products are all in 5 sub-categories.

I do not understand why these these sub-categories may not be displayed in the path.

thanks
fabio

Hi,

Sorry, I was in holidays last 4 days.
I take a look to your website last week but the account you gave me does not have the right to access to the HikaShop configuration so I couldn't make more tests and check your configuration.

Best regards,

As expected, there was no issue in HikaShop. The problem was the category tree data which was completely screwed up in the database. So the system wasn't able to load the categories properly on your website to calculate the breacrumb.
I've fixed the data in the database via a hidden category tree rebuild function and the breadcrumb now works properly on your website as far as I can see.
