Filtering multiple products

I have created a couple of product custom fields in order to be able to display only products with certain characteristics.
On the product display page it displays only the word "all" in the dropdonw box without displaying the options stored in the custom field.

Please advise on how to correctly use custom fields and filters to be able to filter products based on multiple characteristics.

What is the type of the custom fields you just created and what are you trying to achieve with it?
Have you selected the custom fields in the product edition page with the right values?

It seem that I have managed to make it work.
Please tell me how I can make the "Filter" button dissapear, since it automatically filters on selection.
I disabled it in the filter module but it still shows up.

Take a look at your filter configuration (the grad_de_protectie one), maybe the display button option is enabled there.
