States not appearing for Selected Country

Hi!

As you can see in image frontpage.png - My Country is Romania (he only option, the only published country).

But the states I believe are from France.

In the backend1.png you can see my country, Romania, has the correct assigned states.

In the backend2.png you can see the field States - it also has the france states.

In the backend3.png you can see a search for Bucuresti, the capital of Romania, it can't find it.

Please help me sort this out.

Hi,

Please edit your country custom field in order to store the default country as "Romania".
For the moment the default country is "France" that's why you see the french states in the state list.
But, because the country is not visible in your configuration, the country list could not display it and display the first item in his list.

You just have to save the country custom field and it will work good.

You mean like in the attached image?

I can't even select another as default - it's the only one. And it was already like that...

No, the default value is "France".
By if you unpublish that country, it is not in the dropdown anymore, even though in the database is it still France which is saved.
But you can't see it.
So you simply have to save the custom field with your new default country selected so that it goes into the database and that it can be used by the states dropdown.
