Problem with cursor Dynamic display

-- Joomla version -- : 2.5

Hello
I have a text field in one of my product category which contain number from 20 to 300 (for example).
when i create a cursor filter for this category and choose Dynamic display for it in category view the Cursor minimum value is 90 and Cursor maximum value is 105 . (which should be 20 and 300).
Please help me to fix this problem.

there is a filter named Max Humidity (%RH) that cursor is 99.9 to 100
but some product are less than 99.9. for example for this link it is 95 :

Note that you can manually define the minimum and maximum values of your cursor through your filter configuration page, you'll just have to use the "Cursor Minimum/maximum value" option.

Yes I know, but my product list change and custom filter min and max change. so i need dynamic max and min.

Hi,

You should leave the min/max fields for the filter of type "Cursor" empty. The values will then be found and set automatically, depending on the products selected by menu or module configuration and possibly other active filters.

As it says in the documentation and help:
"Maximum and Minimum value: Allow you to specify a maximum and minimum value instead of 0 and the maximum automatically found."

As you know if I leave the max/min fields I will see this error:
Error: You have to define a maximum and a minimum value for your cursor.
so I have to define a small min and big max.
And as i said in first topic, the problem is with Dynamic display. when i active Dynamic display i see a min and max in front end that is not correct.

I have set up the same custom field, same filter, set values in my filtre like "95" "98" "99" and "99.9" but I am not able to reproduce the issue on my end. The cursor filter display correct values.

Please give us a backend access to your website. You can send it via private message or via our contact form.
In both case, don't forget to give the url to that topic in the message.

All the settings seems to be correct. So we will need a FTP access to debug that issue directly on your website.
As temporary solution, using that filter without the Dynamic display could be an option ?
Without the dynamic, it is working pretty fine.

Maybe I can help a little. I think I had about the same problem.

I had a custom field with number from 26 to 246.
If I try to do create a filter on this field it only display numbers 99-100.
I think that's because the filtering is comparing the same "number of caracters" ?

As a temparary fix, I modified my data so now it's 026 to 246
-> Same number of digits : the filter is working properly.
