Products import into db, but don't display

I have used hikashop for months now, configuring and testing mostly. It has been a pleasure to work with.

I have manually inserted hundreds of products and have had no issues. I recently started to import products via a csv import and had limited success with that process. I have deleted all products at different times for various reasons. My point being, it has worked great for months.

Recently, My imported products are not showing in my products list in hikashop. I get a success message, but the products won't display. I have checked each level of products, from root all the way down to sub catagories. They are not there.

The products are, however, in the db on my hosting server. I can see the products in my db interface. I have attached a copy of the import file (csv), along with screenshots of the successful import picture, and one capture of the product list at the root of products level, and lastly a capture of the products table. I am showing one product, for simplicity, but my database is actually over 2 thousand products.

I will point out that I use the same import csv each time. I have added and delete different columns, but only for display purposes. I didn't have issues, I just changed it around while I was testing. I confirmed each column name was proper, etc.
Where am I going awry? I am wanting to launch this site soon, but this is really holding me up.

Hi - I have a similar issue. I'm new to hikashop. I am not being able to make the csv upload, show up in the product listing. Only the test item I put in from the add product section - not by CSV. Attached is the CSV. I have the associated categories created. The listing is all displaying in the DB table. However in the DB the categories column does not exist. Can you advise where to look for a solution?

Trying to figure that out.
On the CSV - should I have a 'categories' column - should that be revised to match the name in the category DB - screen shot of that attached. category_name ???

On the product setup - I've added a screen shot - doesn't seem like anything there that is off.
On the import page - screen shot attached - on product template there is none listed. Could this be it - if so - how do I change it?

Also attaching from your comment on the DB for the product category - the screenshot from that page - with only the one product that was hand loaded - not uploaded.

Hi Nicolas,
I'm attaching screenshots of the product_category page along with the products pages.
The one sample1 product I have in is assigned to the froz category and will display under froz or none settings.

It is not showing up on the product_category DB table.
The other products from the CSV are in the DB but not showing on the product listing page.

Any idea how they could be uploading to the DB from the CSV but not appearing in the product listing?

Hello Nicolas - any ideas on why the products or categories are not populating?

I seem to have figured out the upload problem for the data, the column for 'product_type" needed to be populated with 'main'.
My previous CSV was listed with 'variant'

Now working on the image upload.

So is the issue with the categories solved ?
If not, the issue is maybe coming from the csv format, some columns, for example "product_description" the text is not between double quotes, and that is potentially breaking the import.

Hi Xavier - yes - the issue was that in the product_type column I had it listed as 'variant'. When I changed this to 'main" the items would populate. Now trying to get the photos to import.
