CSV Importing just half of every Products Variants

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.6.1
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.8
-- PHP version -- : 5.5.30
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 48.0.2564.109 m

So Hikashop is importing my products correctly, and is importing their related variants. The problem im running into is
1) a default variant isnt being set
2) only half of the variants for each product are being imported

Variants Imported: 1

I checked my characteristics and all the variants that are supposed to be there are there so it isnt that they arent matching. This is occuring for all products with variants. only 50% of them import.
