Login dont work after Activation

1. After successfull registration and activation through activation link the login information dont work when i try to login myself. it says user not found or password wrong but iam typing the password in it (small letters) and even when i try to login with capital beginning letter its not working.

just when i go into the backend and edit the user and renew the password there then it works

2. where can i change the email name which customers will recieve after a successful registration?

3. i have several features which relie on email notifications that users can give in after a successfull login under theyr account. something like: request ip phone settings ....where can i get to this features and edit them? i was one time there but i dont remember how to get there again

can someone help me?
