[SOLVED] Simple Checkout Problem

This is a site that has only one checkout method, PayPal. There is no regisration and all checkouts are for guests. If you go to checkout and click the 'Checkout and Pay' button, it gives you the error message "Please complete your payment information". Now people will just look at this screen and not have a clue what to do until they fool around and click the 'PayPal' button. No response, no feedback. Then they may try to click the 'Checkout and Pay' button but, again, nothing happens. So they click it again out of frustration and, viola, it goes to PayPal where they can complete payment for the order.





Again, simplicity is what the client wants. Guest clicks 'Add-to-Cart' button on a product, product is added to the cart, guest clicks 'Proceed to checkout', guest clicks 'Checkout and Pay' and they go to PayPal. The 'Please complete your payment information' is redundant when you only have 'one' payment method and causes confusion.

Now how can I make this simple where all they have to do when they go to checkout, is click the 'Checkout and Pay' button and it goes to PayPal directly? I tried removing the Payment routine in the Checkout configuration but that removes the payment completely so you can't checkout. :angry:

Can you show me through some screenshots how did you configured your checkout workflow through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Checkout" ?

Hi,

That's because you turned off the "auto select default shipping and payment methods" and the "auto submit shipping and payment methods selection" options of the configuration.
Because of that, the payment method is not pre selected, so the users have to select it, and when they select it, the payment method is not submitted automatically, so users have to click on next once to validate it, and a second time to confirm the checkout.
Would you have left these settings as they were by default, simplicity would be what you would have.
