Hi,

I am sorry but it is a Joomla question, it is not related to HikaShop.

I do NOT have two factor authentication on my site enabled and am not prompted for it on any front or back end joomla screens, only appears in login module of hikashop. And it performs no validation of any kind, indicating that it isnt doing any of the 'joomla' based authentication...it is simply behaving as if the two factor is not installed, except it is displaying the field in the login module.

HikaShop does not have any login module.
So it's not possible that you get that in the HikaShop login module since it doesn't exist. Thus, it has to be a joomla login module, and that's why Jerome said that it's not a HikaShop related question.
I invite you to check your joomla login module settings and post your question on the joomla.org forum.
