Hello,

We're migrating our Joomla1.5.26 and Virtuemart 1.1.7 Shop to the most recent Hikashop (2.2.3) and Joomla (3.2).
However we have run into trouble in the Hikashop install as well as importing data from Virtuemart

The Hikashop instal problem i think we solved already but I'm reporting anyway (it could be that the 'solution is part of the problem with migrating VM data).
Basically we were receiving some DB error on instal and the fix we had to do was going into the 'back\tables.sql' file in the instal package and change all table prefixes from #__ to the actual prefixes respectively in our Joomla 1.5.26 (jos_) and J3.2 install (dy8u5_). I'm prety sure all was done correctly. And with this the install went smothly in both Joomla versions.
I'm anyway curious as to why didn't the instal go ahead with the original package (I'm not a programer but i presume the #__ prefix in the package should have automatically convert to the prefiz being used with each Joomla instal?)

Then we have the still to be resolved issue with the VM migration. This was done in Joomla 1.5.26 with VM1.1.7 and with Hikashop 2.2.3 installed (as reported above). The import was OK in all respects (users, orders etc..) except for the actual products! None was imported even though the image files have been imported to media/com_hikashop/upload ?
One odd thin (it might help) is that on importing categories (from VM) one of the image files is reported as not found (not imported) even though the file is in the exact place it's reported as not being found (i copied the address reported in the migration process and pasted the url in the browser), but this categoie is created anyway (albeit with your defauld codeb bar image is).
I Have seached in the forum but can not find a solution for this.

Meanwhile i already acquired Hikashop Essential (but themigration issue was not solved by this).

2013.aqualoja.net is our Joomla 1.5.26 test site for imoporting VM1.17 data to Hikashop (except for the added Hikashop this is equal to our working site at www.aqualoja.net )
t1.aqualoja.net is just a first test on Jommla 3.2
To access either of this production installs you'll need to type 'abcde' both for user and password (this is just to protect from search engines and the casual client who might find the test urls - and not get he's order processed!)

Any help is appreciated thanks

Hello,

I just tried importing Virtuemart tables from out Joomla 1.5.26 test to our Joomla 3.2 test environment t1.aqualoja.net (this already has hikashop installed), and then running the import from virtuemart function in Hikashop.
It was going well but in Step 5 (importing products) i got the error:
1054 Unknown column 'weight_symbols' in 'field list' SQL=SELECT weight_symbols FROM `dy8u5_hikashop_config`

I just report this in case it helps, though i understand VM1.1.7 tables are not suppossed to exist in Joomla3.2 and the import script might be expecting VM2.0 tables instead.

PS: I just realised this thread should probably have been placed in the "Import & Export (CSV, XLS…)" topic. Suport team, please feel free to move it there if you think it's best (and sorry about this;)

Hi,

Thanks for all the details, it actually helped me a lot.
I think I figured out what was going on. Please try to replace your current file yourwebsite/administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/importvm.php by the one attached :

If it still doesn't work, I'll need a backend access to your test site to make more tests and then fix the import.

Have a nice day,
Tristan
