So basically you want filters on your left area :
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...-filter-listing.html

You can create filters via the menu System>Filters. How to configure each filter will depend on exactly how you configured your products (characteristics, custom product fields, categories, etc) and how you want to display the filters exactly (dropdowns, lists, checkboxes, etc).
Once you have your filters, you can configure the hikashop filter module via the joomla modules manager in order to display your filters on your left area via your filter module.
All that is explained more in depth in the documentation link I gave you in my previous post. If you have precise questions on the settings, we sure can answer you but we'll need more details on how exactly you configured your products and how you want your filter to appear.
