whys does my Hikashop menu look like this?

This is usually a problem with the cache of your browser after an update. Please clear your browser's cache and try again.

Do you use a special template ? If you don't use the default one, please change to the default one and try again.
Also, you can try to change the "menu position" option of the configuration of HikaShop, that might help.

In the front end I do have a special template. . Is that the one your talking about or is I the backend template?

Hathor is my default template for the back end. and I cant find "menu position"

Hi,

Because you under Joomla 3, the menu is using bootstrap.
It is possible to deactivate bootstrap in the backend and use the "classical" menu, but at this moment, you won't have any bootstrap in the backend.
