Hi All,

Is there another place/way to purchase fancy Hikashop Styles? I've tried to edit the pictureblue one (to use a handbag rather than a cart) but it sure doesn't look very professional.. surely there is one out there that already does this? And it has said "fancy styles coming soon" for quite awhile now so maybe there is just another place these are being sold?

Cheers,
Susan

Hi,

We are the only ones providing styles for HikaShop.
3rd parties usually provides complete joomla templates optimized for HikaShop and not just styles which can adapt HikaShop styling to templates.

Hi Nic,

Yes, I thought so, thanks for clarifying.

So the issue I have with the Div in the shop at the moment (only showing in one column).. could that be an issue with the style? BC I have success with a different style (albeit on version 2.5 of Joomla on a different site).

Thanks for sharing your expertise.

Cheers,
Susan

Hi,

If you have only one column with the DIV layouts on your listings even though you specified that you wanted several columns in the listing options, it's probably that you have the "use bootstrap design" option of the hikashop configuration turned on and that your joomla template is not compatible with bootstrap.
Turn that option off or use a bootstrap compatible template and it will display properly.

Hi Nic,

THANKS! That worked (why I may never know but it worked). I am using the Template_60 from Joomspirit. I can't say whether it says anything about supporting bootstrap. Was never anything I thought to look for. Either way, it works and I am happy now.. off I go to research why I'd need bootstrap (I know what this term means in other IT areas, but obviously not in the CMS/website regard).

THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS!

Bootstrap is a library which is by default in Joomla 3.x in order to have a unified styling for all extensions and templates.
The goal was that it would simplify the integration of extensions and templates as you wouldn't need extension-specific "optimized" templates as the styling of all the extensions supporting bootstrap would adapt to all the bootstrap compatible templates. So if everyone supports it, everyone wins.
