Hi,

In most cases, CB and HikaShop would be installed on a website for two different aspects of the website not related together.
I don't remember seeing a website with HikaShop and CB where both would be tightly used together or any request for that.

Now maybe someone else from the community has a better idea ?

I was thinking of using HikaShop for class registrations, where parents sign up there kids to a class. What I was thinking of doing was adding field items to the CB registration to collect the names of the kids in one profile (the parents, since they will be paying)

I'm not sure how to best integrate this idea with the registration form that appears in the HikaShop cart, except maybe to field map the HikaShop registration with CB field items.

Thanks!

Hi,

Then I don't see the need for CB.
Simply use custom user fields of HikaShop and turn on the "Redirect Joomla registration to HikaShop plugin" via the Joomla plugins manager so that it is the HikaShop registration form which is used instead of Joomla's.
The joomla user profile edition page will have these fields displayed automatically if the users wants to change them.

I also want to use CB for its other features so I need to figure out a way to make the registration process more unified or simple.

I also like the plugin you have that keeps a list of purchases in a tab so users can see a history.

Hi,

If you setup a menu item of the type "hikashop user control panel" via the Joomla menu manager, you'll get a control panel where the customers can access their profile, addresses, orders history, etc.

Now if you still want to use CB for other things, and you want to better integrate HikaShop with CB for the address fields, there is no system for that that I know of. Thus, it would require the development of a plugin in order to keep such synchronization between the custom fields of CB and HikaShop.
