automatic select the shipping based on country?

Hi,

I'm seriously considering using Hika but have a question, say for example our shipping rates are as follows:

UK: £2, Rest of Europe: £5 and World: £9

Is it possible that when the user clicks checkout, the correct shipping method is selected automatically based upon the user's country? So, for example if I am ordering from the UK, the UK shipping method will be picked? also, can we hide the others so that users cna not select the wrong method.. ?

If it is possible, how difficult would this be to setup?

Hi,

In hikashop, you can restrict shipping methods to a zone. It can by a state, a country or a zone having countries as sub-zones (the states are sub-zones of countries for example). Before the user create/select his address during the checkout, the shipping methods will be displayed based on the main tax zone setting of your hikashop configuration. After that, the shipping methods will be displayed based on his address so that only the relevant shipping methods can be displayed.

HikaShop Business also have a geolocation plugin which enables you to override the default zone (before he selects/creates an address) with the zone geolocated by the plugin (it uses the IP of the user to know the country of the user). That way, you have a higher chance that the default shipping methods the user sees before creating/selecting his address are the one he will see after entering it since you already guessed his zone.
