We're working on that but we won't be able to release anything before several months. Until then, I'm afraid you won't be able to do that with HikaShop.

Yes. It will be out before the end of the year. We're approaching the test phase in a few weeks.

Nicolas,
thanks for your great work.
Don't neglect the paying aspects relating to anti-money laundering.
At least in France, only big companies like Amazon can collect money and redistribute to their marketplace subscribers, minus their commission.
It means, for 'normal little sites' that each company selling on the marketplace SHOULD collect the money for their payments (for tracability reasons).
Thus the marketplace can only be rewarded with a percentage on the business made by all sellers ==> it means a facturation system !

Great! Now I have another question which I think i know the answer already but wanted to check. Do you know if it will be available for essentials or business?

Thanks,
Mel

I believe Nicolas answered this recently by stating that the Multi-Vendor feature will be a paid addon due to the size and scope of this functionality, similar to how HikaSerial is handled. It is supposed to be compatible with all editions when it is released.

Nicolas, correct me if I'm wrong. :)

Hi,

Yes, the HikaMarket would be a external component but not due to the size and scope of this functionality.
HikaMarket would have two different versions : Front-end edition and Multi-vendor edition.
It would be compatible with all HikaShop editions (Starter to business).

After that, not only big companies could create their "marketplace" or just have several vendors.
HikaMarket would provide a lot of interesting features for big and small businesses !

Any invoice system?
Will be vendors able to crete their how gods?
Can I only create gods and assign them to vendors?
Can I set a percentage of earnings on every sale?
Do vendors automatically receive their percentage on paypal account for example?

So... I am really curious to see how it works and If I can use it for my needs. :)

Hi,

Vendors would be able to create/edit products in the front end.
Vendors could modify their "sub orders" by changing the status.
Administrator could create/edit products in the front end.
Administrator could create and modify orders in the front end and edit every fields like in the backend.
Administrator could configure fees (percentage and fixed value) per vendor and per product in the backend.

For the moment, the administrator have to create the vendor payment in the backend but we working on a Paypal Adaptive plugin which would automatically send money to vendors.

We would create a dedicate page for HikaMarket TODO list, so everybody could see the planning, the features that we planned to do and the priorities.
And depending the needs, priorities could change.

Can I disable this option and let vendors only edit their products after admins have created items for them?

I have a scenario like this: vendors must show me their goods and I want to check them and then create the product page. I want to be sure that the products they want to sell corresponds to my standards and I don't want to let them use the interface.

Hi,

HikaMarket have an important ACL system, you can select every action that the vendor would be able to do.
You can forbidden the vendor to create new product (action: add) and you can select every editable fields.

Oups sorry, I missed your previous post !

Vendors would be able to create products, with some limitations (that you can configure and adjust).
As admin, you would be able to modify all products and every items.
In the backend you can affect vendors to products, configure vendors rights, affect users to vendors, configure users rights, etc.

So yes :)

Great to know. I am new to Hika so I have some questions too.. :)

I see that there is a affiliate feature too and wonder if you will improve that too in future? or make it integrate with other great affiliate software like postaffiliatepro, Idev etc

www.qualityunit.com/postaffiliatepro/

or add more or less the same functionality as these..?

We want to improve it yes, but we won't be able to make it as feature rich as postaffiliatepro. We'll rather build an integration with it.

Hi, I have been looking for a good shopping cart for Joomla for some time and looks like I've finally found it! I am also very interested in the Hikamarket option and wondered if it will be possible to charge users to have store... Say up to 10 articles free, 10 - 50 articles one price. Unlimited articles another price??
Also having seller ratings would be great too!
Many thanks

Hi,

The HikaMarket forum is now open and the HikaMarket beta is accessible thanks to our demo website.
www.hikashop.com/en/forum/19-hikamarket/...ikamarket-beta-.html

We would create a special page for HikaMarket planned features (our TODO list).
Thanks for your ideas and your interest about our products :)
