access/report

Is it possible to show sales in a report from just one category?

For example:
Supplier A sells digital content in category 1
Supllier B sells digital content from category 2

Supllier 'A' can see his sales but supllier 'A' doesn't have access to the category B sales report.
Each supllier has his own 'category-report' access.

(Business version)

Regards

Yes that's possible. In your reports, you can filter by category and configure an access level.
Just have two user group, one for each supplier and attache the corresponding report to that user group in the access level option of the report and it should work.

and

would it be possible to show this report, after log in, in the front end?

That will only be possible via the backend.

It's not really complex.
You have two users, A and B
You create two user groups C and D via the joomla user group manager.
You create two reports E and F via the Orders->Reports menu.
You assign user group C to user A, and B to D via the joomla user manager.
You assign user group C to report E and B to F via the Report edition page of each report.

That's it. A can see E but not F and B can see F but not E.

So far so good, but

after applying settings in acl manager and access level in hikashop, it's still possible for the supllier to change several settings in for example monthly 'current report'. The problem is that in access level 'report' you have to allow 'view and manage' otherwise the supplier can't see the report! Also the supplier can see for example order to ship, orders by currency etc.
Please help to change this, otherwise the acl and acces level are useless for this kind of website.

Rene

Ah yes. You will have to publish the reports so that they can be seen on the dashboard and disable the view/manage ACL of reports so that they can't access them at all. The users will then be able to see the reports on the dashboard.

We've already fixed the ACLs of reports so that you can access the report edition page without being able to change the settings of the report when you don't authorise the manage access right but it requires several changes in several files so it's not easy to give them to you. We'll publish next version with that fix during this month.

Thanks,

I think, on the dashboard all reports can be seen (or am I wrong about that?) so I'm looking forward to the new version with adjusted ACL.

Regards, Rene

PS A report in the frontend, in the style of the menu 'affiliates program' would be great. ( I,m asking for too much)

Hi,

No, only the reports which are published can be seen on the dashboard. If you unpublish them, you won't see them there.

Reports for the frontend won't be available in the short term but it's in the todo list, like lots of other stuff :)

Suplliers must have access anytime only to their category.
When a report is unpublished, there is no access. That's the problem. Or am I missing something?
I'll wait for the adjusted ACL version

Thanks, Rene

Yes, that's why you should leave the report published and use the 'access level' option of the report to only allow one group of users to see it on the dashboard.

Hello Nicolas,

created user A attached to group 1
created user B attached to group 2

In the report access level, group 1 is able to access only report Y
In the report access level, group 2 is able to access only report Z
In configuration - access level, both groups only have acces to 'view dasboard'

Still, both groups can view the total earned money in all catagories.
What am I missing here?

regards, rene

Hi,

So you're saying that both groups see both Y and Z reports ?
I tried on my end but it's working properly.
Did you restrict each report to the category you wanted ?
Or it could be because of the way you added those groups. For example, if you have a group which is a parent of the other, the child group might inherit from the rights of the parent group.

Could it be that the acces level component is not working properly?
I unchecked all options for a certain user. Still this user have the option to view, manage and delete badge, catagories, banner, report etc. etc.

I recall such possible issue in previous versions of HikaShop. But if you're using the latest version (1.6.0) that should not happen. Might that be the problem ?

After updating to Hikashop newest version, again an issue with the access level.
It seems ACL manager is doing its job, but the access level in Hikashop is not responding properly.
So users have access to all menu items in Hikashop, or users can't acceess hikashop at all.

Rene

HikaShop ACLs work fine on our end with the latest version.

Please provide a backend access via our contact form (with a link to this thread) as we cannot reproduce the issue.

I've removed the access to the public user group in your ACLs and it's working fine now.
