Proceed To Checkout Issue

Hi Guys,

Using v2.0. I'm having a problem with the 'Add to Cart' popup > 'Proceed to Checkout' button: If the customer is not logged in then the 'Add to Cart' function does not work and the 'Proceed to Checkout' button takes the user to the Home Page and shows an error 'You cart is empty'. The only way to add products to the cart is to log in first. I'm pretty sure this worked in v1.6.

Please help. Is there a setting I am missing?

Regards,
Trent

Hi,

This error is generally link with the Joomla cache.
Please disable the Joomla cache and any other cache system.

Hi Jerome,

Thank you for the quick response but this did not fix the issue. I have turned the Joomla Cache Setting to 'Off - Caching Disabled' and have cleared the cache.

My site is: www.killercandyclothing.com.au

Hi,

In fact there is a problem with the "add to cart" button.
Most of your items are "out of stock" but have the "add to cart" button.
Some have several characteristics and if you changed one, the "out of stock" would be displayed.

I have found one article in stock : www.killercandyclothing.com.au/hikashop-...ing/product/cid-9206
With this article, I had no "add to cart" problem.

So the error is more : "why the add to cart button is displayed ?"

My apologies Jerome, you are right. The main product quantity has not been set to zero, only the product varients have been set to zero.

Is there any way to hide the 'Add to Cart' button if there are no product varients in stock? This would mean we would have to set the varients as well as the main product to zero, then change the main product as well as the varients when stock is in.

Hi,

By default, if the variants havent no stock, then the main product have no stock too. And the 'Add to cart' button is not displayed.
Just check if the option "Variant published by default" is enabled in HikaShop > Configuration > Main.

Hi Xavier,

This option is enabled but the 'Add to Cart' button is still displayed on the product page. The first product on the home page under Latest Products has 0 quantity for the varient and 'unlimited' set for the main product.

Hi,

I would need more information about the configuration of this product (and his variants) :
www.killercandyclothing.com.au/hikashop-...520-eagle-flash-tank

The product have a message which said that "OUT OF STOCK. Due back in 23/11/12" but the "add to cart" is still include.
Did you overrided the product show view ?

Hi Jerome,

The 'Out of stock...' is just what we have written in the description of the main product. The main product has a quantity of 'unlimited' and default size of 'L'. The single varient for this main product (size 'L') has a quantity of '0'. I have not overridden the product show view.
.
You can see another example by going here: www.killercandyclothing.com.au/women/t-s...olman-sleeve-t-shirt

This product shows the correct 'Currently out of stock' because we have set the main product quantity to '0' as well as the varient quantity to '0'.

Thank you for your help,

Hi,

So you have to change the quantity of the main product in order to fix the "wrong" add to cart.

Hi,

The variant quantity would override the product quantity.
But "0" on the variant is not really considered as an override value.
If the main product does not have quantity and variant have, it would work.
If the variant does not have quantity and the main product have, it would considered that there is a possibility to add the product in the cart.

That's why, when you have variants and you want to configure the stock for your products, the main product quantity should be 0.

OK so if the product has varients then always set the main product to 0.

Thank you for your help.
