remove cart module

Hello,

the problem that i have in my workflow "login_address_shipping_payment_confirm_coupon_cart_status_fields,end" is that the when i am in the checkout page, the cart module appears there too, even if it is not assigned to this page. The checkout page is made visible by clicking the "proceed to checkout" button, which is part of the cart module and appears on a page that, this module is assigned.
My question is how can I remove the cart module from the checkout page.
