Moved from GoDaddy to Hostgator. Email Broken now

We moved server due to performance but now people cannot place orders. They can complete the sign up process but they do not receive the confirmation email.

Any ideas what may have broken during the move?

Hello Dennis,

The problem can be caused by your Joomla configuration, can you :

- go to "Control panel -> User manager -> Options"
- check if "New User Account Activation" is correctly set to SELF and not to NONE

Try to turn on the debug mode in the joomla configuration. That might display error messages during the checkout which would give more information on the problem.
