Hello
We have a Joomla installation 1.5.26 with HIKA Shop.
But we had a serious attack (malware)

Now I want upgrade the system to Joomla 2.5.
Coould you tell me the simplest way how to upgrade also HIKA on a new installation and get there all the settings, also with the changed templates (php) codes I made.
Is it possible to override the files in the new version auf HIKA for 2.5?
Is it possible to copy some tables in the database and override the new tables in the new installation to get the most of the settings done before?

SO we have to buy another version of HIKA?

Thank you

Hi,

The easiest way when you upgrade, it to export your hikashop tables in sql, and then import them in the new database.
And copy/paste the content of the folder "media/hikashop".

It's all gone well, but a lot of work to migrate the site from 1.5.25 to 1.5.7

Some points are even better now!

But I have a problem I don't understand:
On the last step before user is redirected to paypal or he chooses the banking payment, he has to click on the checkbox "read terms".
The checkbox comes after the selection of the payment method.
Now user clicking first on the payment method, the error message says that he has no accepted the legal terms, even if this field comes after on that page. Why the hell HIKA validates first the legal terms checkbox, that is defined as last step?

Hi,

To not have this message when changing payment method, you can disable the option "Auto submit shipping and payment methods selection".

I wish I had found this thread sooner!

My site was also attacked by malware and so I had to update to joomla 2.5.7 and so purchased the latest version of Hikashop also.

I spent ages cleaning and upgrading the site and the template so it all works as it should - BUT now my store is broken :(

Initially I thought that hikashop had lost the file path to the pictures;
clinitas.info/index.php/buy-now.html

The pictures are there in the right place but not showing.

If any selects to buy nothing is added to the cart. I dread to think what else is wrong!

Any help to fix would be appreciated. - the store only holds 8 items maybe I should delete and start again?

NOTE:

I tried to add some new products as a test and could not do it - error saving

I think hikashop has lost it's connection with the database somehow - although past orders and users are still there

Hi,

If you only have 8 items, I think that it would be easiest to start again.
Do a fresh install of Joomla and Hikashop and then export/import your SQL database content.
