Orders that are completed are marked as cancelled?

Hi,

In the last two days I've had two orders that were paid in full by Paypal - that instead of being marked as 'confirmed' by Hikashop, instead were marked as cancelled. I have no idea why this happened.

When I look at the order history this is what I see:

payment cancelled automatic payment notification received x.x.x.x 2012-12-02 17:41 PayPal transaction id: xxxxxx
creation created Order created customer email / x.x.x.x 2012-12-02 17:40

So Hikashop gets the payment notification from Paypal but for some reason mistakes that as a cancellation notification? I'm very concerned about this bug because it really upsets my customers.

Hi,

If the order is canceled, it means that in the "invalid status" option of the PayPal plugin you set "canceled" and that the notifications sent by PayPal cannot be validated. You should have received an email as the administrator which explains what is the problem with a link to the documentation for the problem. Isn't that the case ?
What does it say ?

If not, you should turn on the debug mode of the PayPal plugin, try again, and then look at the payment log report in the Files tab of the configuration of HikaShop. That should give some information about the payment notifications sent by PayPal.

Hi Mohamed,

I never got an email explaining any problem. It looks like my "Payment notifications email address" was blank. Is there any way to recover those emails since they were sent nowhere?

I have turned on debug mode of the Paypal plugin. We'll see what the logfile says if this happens again, I suppose. Thanks,

Hi,

No you can't recover the emails which should be sent to the admin.
But you can send the emails to the customers bu changing the order status in the backend and enable the option "Notify customer"

Hi,

The problem has happened again. This time I have the debug info as well as the notification email from Hikashop. Hopefully it helps you. It appears Paypal charged a different amount (1 cent different!) than the total amount in Hikashop. I have no clue how/why that would happen.

"A Paypal notification was refused because the amount received (50.52CAD) is different from the order amount (50.53CAD)

I feel like copy and pasting the debug log of the Paypal plugin is probably a bad idea as it may have some personally identifiable materials. So please let me know who to PM it to and I'll send it.

Hi,

You have to deactivate the option which send all articles amount to paypal.
It would send the total amount to it won't have such problem.

Hi Mohamed,

Yes, I can change that but that means I will get no order info on Paypal. ie. The product name does not transfer over to Paypal. That isn't very good as I use the Paypal side for accounting purposes.

Is there no other way to fix this? It seems like a bug if the payments are 1cent off, doesn't it?

Hi,

The product names would not be transferred to paypal but the full order price will.
We can't fix Paypal and our price calculation is precise because we only round values at the end.
